New York
Everything I learned about NYC, I learned on the Grey Line tour bus. You’re invited to ride along. Times Square.Because the NY Times was located in the building behind ‘the ball’ at the intersection.Like Vegas only more squooshed.Been there. Done that. Don’t need to do it again. Uptown. Not a location per se, but a direction. If you are going anywhere north on Manhattan it is considered ‘uptown’.Going south? It’s ‘downtown’. “Up. Down. Cross. Town”.I give it a 10. It has a… [Read More]
My LA
After dropping College Boy2 off at Union Station in Los Angeles, we drove around and I took some drive-by photos. I thought I’d share some things I found interesting. Union Station first… Union Station on Alameda, built in 1939.Sexy man in the yellow shirt, built in 1956. Dark woods, iron and art deco signs create a warm interior in an expansive setting. The old ticket concourse now sectioned off and silent. Can’t you just hear the clicking of heels of the 40’s… [Read More]

Hence the red nose. You say ‘antihistamines with an alcohol chaser’ like it’s a bad thing. I used my wiley womanly ways to force him to… [Read More]

I thought of the saying, “Happy is the bride the sun shines upon.” I was worried there was no sun to shine on me and this was an inauspicious omen. At 4 o’clock the stained glassed windows… [Read More]
The Trad Guy
I’ve always been a sucker for a guy in a pair of khakis, a long sleeve RL button-down shirt, tasseled loafers, a pair of Ray-Ban Wayfarers and the scent of Polo. This package is classic and timeless. This is Mr. P. M. and I have been raising two boys to fill his Sperry Top-Siders to continue the tradition. These three men have been ideal participants simply by possessing a Y chromosome which means they will wear practically anything that I… [Read More]
