This year we’ve been invited to a few parties where, for some reason, I’ve been asked to bring cookies.  😉  I wanted to design a cookie that said fun + party with more of a generic feeling in the holiday affiliation area but still said “happy holidays”. Did you know I’m crazy for pennants?  What says fun + party more than pennants?  I… [Read More]

Decorative Pie Crusts

dutch apple pie decorative pie crusts

I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving.  Friday felt like the day after Christmas to me.  I just crashed and completely vegged on the couch editing photos, taking in Barbra in Hello Dolly! and ordering a few things online while everyone helped themselves to leftovers.  Anyone else take it easy? I’ve been baking so many cookies for the last couple of months that it was a nice change of pace in the kitchen.  We began the season in celebration of… [Read More]

Painting on Macarons

Painting on Macarons

Happy Monday and the last day of September! We had a delicious weekend.  I made 2 dozen tushie cookies with tushie tats for a bridal shower and assisted my son in making his multiple blue ribbon and division winning  chocolate cake.  We did our winning combo – he made the cake and icing and I iced the cake.  It was part of the celebration for my lovely niece’s birthday this weekend.  She and her husband just returned from two years… [Read More]
