I hope everyone had a nice Easter and Passover and break from academic endeavors. We had a lovely visit with the collegiate spring breakers. Son2 and his dad, planted the garden for us and added drip irrigation. Son1 worked on his presentation for a meeting this week on the east coast. I cooked and went to the store – a lot. The boys also were able to individually take their grandma out to lunch which I know they all enjoyed.
I’m already knee deep into my April projects. Work is on the uptick, my classes resume tomorrow and I have party decoration tutorials planned for a couple social engagements coming up.
Are you thinking about Mother’s day yet? I am, with lovely petite fours decorated with mini flowers from the garden. We’ve planted them now so they can be picked in a few weeks and this way I know for certain they’ll be organic and pesticide free.
Speaking of Moms, have I shared this photo with you yet? It’s a photo of my mom (in the dark suit) and her cousin who was visiting from Michigan. It was taken in the 20’s, according to the note on the back of the photo. I’m going to clean it up in Photoshop, have in enlarged and hang it in my office. Isn’t it wonderful?
Make a splash this week! 🙂
I am thinking of Mother’s Day! My mothers birthday is around the same time. Need to shop

Love the photo, isn’t it amazing to see these things and think about how our moms had a “life”. I often wish I had thought to ask more about those days when my mom was alive.

Such a great photo. Your mom looks very like mine, but the dark-haired version. Glad you had fun with the boys.
Love this photo!
Yep. That’s a wonderful photo.
