This is a historic moment. We have a chance to end the blood sport of bullfighting in one of Spain’s largest regions: Catalonia.
And you can do your bit to help.
After a huge anti-cruelty campaign by the Catalonian public, the regional parliament will vote this summer on whether to ban bullfighting for good. We want the MPs to know there are thousands of people all around the world who care which way they vote and are hoping to see them put an end to this cruel ‘sport’.

I remember learning about this “sport” in my high school Spanish classes. We watched actual videos of it. I realize it is a long-standing cultural tradition but the bull definitely does suffer for quite some time, I couldn’t even watch!! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, I think it’s great that you’ve brought this to our attention. I think bull fighting is horrible – I really do not understand why people think it’s so much fun to watch an animal suffer and die.
This is great! For my senior art show I did a series of posters against bullfighting. I learned how horrible it was while studying in Spain. Unfortunately it’s funded and kept going by a lot of curious tourists and the older generations that don’t want to let go of a long tradition. The younger generations seem to be pretty against it though, so I hope soon it will be stopped!
